Natural Beauty

Nestled between two great rivers – the Ohio and the Wabash – The Four Seasons is close to many beautiful outdoor locations. While sightseeing, boating, hiking, or just walking around, you may even see a Bald Eagle. Currently, there are four known nests between the Point and New Harmony. The ones in Hovey Lake and Big Cypress Slough are visible from the road, and you can often see a bald eagle that perches in a tree off New Harmony's Wabash River Trail.

Mount Vernon Riverfront

Mount Vernon has created it's own identity as a destination spot. Riverbend park is a pleasant place to relax, take a stroll, and view the scenic Ohio River, or enjoy a meal or snack from one of the nearby restaurants and coffee shops. Its amphitheater hosts regular concerts, a movie series, an art show and other public gatherings, including the River Days Festival on the second weekend in September.

New Harmony

Historic New Harmony is a nearby tourist town that feautures history tours, art and cultural attractions, great dining and shopping opportunities; and is also a very popular spot for weddings. In the early 19th century, the town was home to two separate Utopian experiments. Over the years it became a haven for scientists and researchers, and more recently grew on that past to become a vibrant center for the arts.

Hovey Lake

The Hovey Lake Fish and Wildlife Area (FWA) includes a 1400 acre lake that's a regional attraction for fishing, hunting, birdwatching, boating, and other outdoor activities.

Harmonie State Park

Harmonie State Park is a great place to picnic, hike, bike, mountain bike, swim, fish, and otherwise enjoy southern Inidana nature.

Twin Swamps

The trail at Twin Swamps Nature Preserves passes by one of the country's northernmost Cypress Swamps and features an elevated walkway that goes deep into the otherwise unaccessible wetland.
